Oakland Fire Protection District responded to 15 calls in 2018 - 114.3 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Oakland included 14 fires - five structure fires, three vehicle fires and six other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $16,500 in fire loss - or about $1,179 per fire.

The Oakland Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $403,342 in 2018.
