Hutsonville Township Fire Protection District responded to 18 calls in 2018 - 20 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Hutsonville included 12 fires - 10 structure fires and two other fires.

In all, the department saw $140,300 in fire loss - or about $11,692 per fire.

The department also received six false calls.

The Hutsonville Township Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $56,341 in 2018.
