Teutopolis Fire Protection District responded to 26 calls in 2018 - 30 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Teutopolis included 21 fires - 14 structure fires, three vehicle fires and four other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $5,500 in fire loss - or about $262 per fire.

The department also received four false calls.

The Teutopolis Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $55,380 in 2018.
