The president of the Shelbyville Ministerial Association sent a strong message out to the citizens of Shelbyville.

Don Jeffries told the people of Shelbyville, "Don't be afraid to ask for help  when you need it."

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, many citizens who have never had to ask for help are in need because they can't get out and work to support their families. However, Jeffries says help is there; all they have to do is ask for it.

"We have a strong work ethic in America, but sometimes that work ethic prevents us from asking for help when we may need it." Jeffries said in a recent interview with the Miller Media Group.

Jeffries participated in the recent Miller Media Group special "An Hour of Faith and Encouragement." He added that like many other Americans, he hates asking for help. However, Jefferies added that he loves being the one to help someone else in need.

The Shelbyville Ministerial Association on Facebook can direct community members on where to go to find emergency assistance.
