City of Effingham issued the following announcement on March 27.
With the COVID-19 Virus and mandates for prevention, the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners of the City of Effingham has made the responsible decision to reschedule the Entry Level Firefighter Testing.
The dates for orientation and testing will be determined at a future date.
In the meantime, those interested in testing are encouraged to submit the completed application. New testing dates will be posted at the City’s website as soon as practical.
