City of Arcola City Council met Oct. 7.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

Mayor Ferguson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Members present were Alderpersons Ferguson, Budd, Huckstep, Smith and Hensley. City Administrator Wagoner and Attorney Bequette were also present. Alderman Foran and Treasurer Anderson were not present.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Alderwoman Ferguson led the council and audience in the Pledge of Allegiance.

PUBLIC COMMENT There was none.

APPROVAL OF SEPTEMBER 16, 2019 COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES

Alderman Smith moved to approve the September 16, 2019 council meeting minutes as presented and was seconded by Alderman Hensley. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

APPROVAL OF SEPTEMBER 30, 2019 SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES

Alderman Hensley moved to approve the September 30, 2019 special meeting minutes as presented and was seconded by Alderman Smith. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

APPROVAL OF SEPTEMBER 14, 2019 – OCTOBER 04, 2019 BILLS

Alderwoman Huckstep moved to approve the September 14, 2019 – October 04, 2019 bills as presented and was seconded by Alderman Budd. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

APPROVAL OF THE TREASURER’S REPORT FOR SEPTEMBER 

Alderman Budd moved to approve the Treasurer’s report for September and was seconded by Alderwoman Ferguson. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

APPROVAL OF THE SEPTEMBER ZONING OFFICER’S REPORT 

The Zoning Officer reported 3 permits issued in the month of September with valuation of $283,650.00 and fees in amount of $405.20 collected. Alderman Smith moved to approve the September Zoning Officer’s report as presented and was seconded by Alderman Hensley. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

CONSIDER AND APPROVE AMENDED AGREEMENT WITH THE ARCOLA FOUNDATION AND SHONKWILER FAMILY DENTAL 

Alderman Budd moved to approve amended agreement with the Arcola Foundation and Shonkwiler Family Dental. Alderwoman Ferguson seconded the motion. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

CONSIDER AND APPROVE ORDINANCE NO. 19-S-11, TIF REDEVELOPMENT WITH SHONKWILER FAMILY DENTAL – STOREFRONT REBATE 

Alderman Budd moved to approve Ordinance No. 19-S-11 and was seconded by Alderman Smith. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

CONSIDER AND APPROVE ORDINANCE NO. 19-S-12, TIF REDEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT WITH SHONKWILER FAMILY DENTAL – 20% REBATE 

Alderman Budd moved to approve Ordinance No. 19-S-12 and was seconded by Alderman Smith. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

CONSIDER AND APPROVE ORDINANCE NO. 19-S-13, TIF REDEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT WITH SHONKWILER FAMILY DENTAL – PROPERTY TAX REBATE 

Alderman Budd moved to approve Ordinance No. 19-S-13 and was seconded by Alderman Smith. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

CONSIDER AND APPROVE RENEWAL OF THE CONTRACT WITH THE ILLINOIS MUNICIPAL LEAGUE RISK MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION 

Alderman Hensley moved to approve renewal of the contract with The Illinois Municipal League Risk Management Association in amount of $49,355.00. This amount is same as last year. Alderwoman Ferguson seconded the motion. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

Alderwoman Huckstep Had nothing at this time.

Alderman Smith Had nothing at this time.

Alderman Hensley Had nothing at this time.

As this concluded the business of the meeting, Alderwoman Huckstep moved to adjourn and was seconded by Alderwoman Ferguson. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
