Humboldt home prices fall in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Humboldt fell by $11,275 while total sales decreased by 9.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 10 homes sold, with a median sale price of $68,625 - a 14.1% decrease over the $79,900 median sale price for the previous year. There were 11 homes sold in Humboldt in 2016.

The median sales tax in Humboldt for 2017 was $1,619. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,664. This marks an decrease of 2.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.4%.
