City of Casey issued the following announcement on Aug. 24.
The Business Improvement and Business Utility grant applications are now ONE form. Applications will now be accepted on a monthly basis with a deadline of 3 p.m. the first Monday of each month. We will review the applications at 5:45 p.m. prior to the 6 p.m. second meeting of the full council (the 3rd Monday of each month). The maximum awarded per grant is $2500 - still a required match. This year we have allocated more money but with the rolling deadline grants will be more competitive.
New this year - we have a community event grant offered by application. The maximum awarded per grant is $500. What does this mean? If your business/organization is hosting an event and needs sponsorship money - you need to fill out the form. If your organization wants money for xyz downtown, you need to fill out the form. If you are unclear on if you should apply - please reach out.
Lastly, a revitalization grant will be offered this year to subsidize dumpster rental for property owners wishing to improve or demolish existing structures. Ten grants of $500 each will be available with a one-grant limit per applicant per year.
The City of Casey is in the process of switching website providers, therefore, grant applications WILL NOT BE ONLINE. All three grant applications are available in the lobby at City Hall.
