Q4 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Crawford County?

There were 15 offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live in Crawford County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows that 12 men and three women were released in Crawford County. The median age of the parolees was 37. The youngest parolee was a 23-year-old man sentenced for a financial crime or fraud in 2017, and the oldest was a 58-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Joseph A. Scott. He was convicted of a property crime in 2016 when he was 43 years old. He is now 45.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
