Q2 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Lawrence County?

There were six offenders released on parole during the second quarter that live in Lawrence County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows that five men and one woman were released in Lawrence County. The median age of the parolees was 40. The youngest parolee was a 30-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2016, and the oldest was a 47-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Michael W. Vinsel. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2011 when he was 33 years old. He is now 41.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter in each Lawrence County municipality.
