Q1 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Richland County?

There were 10 offenders released on parole during the first quarter that live in Richland County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows that nine men and one woman were released in Richland County. The median age of the parolees was 35. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2016, and the oldest was a 52-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Joshua L. Reynolds. He was convicted of a property crime in 2014 when he was 35 years old. He is now 40.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter in each Richland County municipality.
