Q1 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Crawford County?

There were eight offenders released on parole during the first quarter that live in Crawford County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows that six men and two women were released in Crawford County. The median age of the parolees was 36. The youngest parolee was a 27-year-old man sentenced in 2017, and the oldest was a 44-year-old man sentenced for a financial crime or fraud in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Joshua York. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2015 when he was 31 years old. He is now 34.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter in each Crawford County municipality.
