City of Effingham issued the following announcement on April 8.
Effingham's own Tom Grunloh and Grunloh Construction were recently honored at the Eastern Illinois University Spring Fling athletic fundraising event. Grunloh was given The Glen Hesler Award which is the most prestigious benefactor honor bestowed annually by the EIU Athletic Dept.
Mayor Bloemker was on-hand at the event and offered this: "Grunloh Construction has created an incredible brand among the universities residing in Central Illinois. They help make Effingham look good. Well done, Mr. Grunloh!"
