CITY OF MARTINSVILLE: City of Martinsville Trunk or Treat

Trunktreat

City of Martinsville issued the following announcement on Oct. 12.

The City of Martinsville and the Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a

Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 27th, downtown from 5:30 pm -

6:45 pm. What is Trunk or Treat? It is a fun and safe way to celebrate

Halloween. Those who wish to hand out candy can park their vehicles

together and open their trunks to reveal decorations. Children can walk

from trunk to trunk to look at the decorations and receive candy and

treats. These events provide a controlled and safe family environment

for trick-or-treaters of all ages. If you don’t have a vehicle or don’t wish

to decorate it, don’t worry. You may bring a lawn chair and sit and hand

out candy downtown. All vehicles are welcome! Participants are encouraged

to get creative. The Chamber of Commerce will be giving

$50.00 to the best decorated vehicle! Second place will go home with

$25.00. After Trunk or Treat head on down to the Community Center for

the costume contest at 7:00 p.m.
