How much has Robinson CUSD 2 overspent over the past 10 years?

Robinson Community Unit School District 2 accumulated $10.84 million in debt between fiscal years 2008 and 2017, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of public schools data.

Spending and revenue data obtained for this analysis comes from the Illinois Local Education Agency Retrieval Network (ILEARN), which is part of the Illinois State Board of Education and collects data annually on school district financials.

Over the 10-year span, Robinson CUSD 2 reported 22.8 percent more revenue. At the same time, total spending went up 20.4 percent. The resulting deficit grew by 6.4 percent from 2008 to 2017.
