Oakland Community Unit School District 5 recently issued the following announcement.
WHEN: Thursday, August 2nd, 1-7 pm and Friday, August 3, 8-5 pm

REGISTRATION FEES:
K-8 ---- -$80/Reduced $40 9-12----$120/Reduced $60
Athletic Fee: $25 per sport, $50 max for one student (if there is only 1 child of age to play sports), and $75 max per family (must be paid before the first contest).
RETURNING STUDENTS:
The registration process can be started online with Online Registration. Parents need to log-in to Teacherease and click on "Online Registration" in the news feed and begin the process.
Complete the online registration part of the process which is Step 1 and then print off and fill out the other paperwork ahead of time to save time at registration. Forms will also be available at registration for those that do not have internet access. Fees will be paid at registration.
NEW STUDENTS:
Parents of new students need to click on this link; Common Goals (TeacherEase) New Registration to create an account. Complete the online registration part of the process which is Step 1 and then print off and fill out the other paperwork ahead of time to save time at registration. Forms will also be available at registration for those that do not have internet access. Fees will be paid at registration. New students in 6-12 grades will need to come in at registration and make a class schedule with Mrs. Stark, Director of Student Services.
KINDERGARTEN REQUIREMENTS:
Child must be 5 years old on or before September 1st of the current school year. A birth certificate, shot record, physical, dental exam, and eye exam are required before the child may start Kindergarten.
SCHOOL SUPPLY LISTS:
Supply lists for the 2018-2019 school year are located at Lucas Grocery Too, Wal-Mart (Paris, Mattoon, and Charleston), CVS, and, Walgreens as well as in the school office.
PHYSICAL EXAMS:
Required for students entering Kindergarten, 6th, and 9th grades as well as for any new students.
DENTAL EXAMS:
Required for students entering Kindergarten and 2nd grade as well as for any new students.
SPORTS PHYSICALS:
Required for students who elect to play any sports during the 2018-2019 school years. Must be completed before the student will be allowed to participate.
