Village of Noble Village Board met May 14.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

The Village Council met on the above date at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order and present were Tresa Hundley, Karen Totten, Paul Summers, Gary Ulm, Janet Pflaum, Judith Anderson and Carol O’Dell. Absent Richard Clark and Carl Klingler.

Motion made by Judith Anderson to appoint Gary Ulm as Pro Tem. Seconded by Carol O’Dell. All voting Aye.

Opened with silent prayer and followed by reciting Pledge of Allegiance.

Motion made by Janet Pflaum to approve April 23, 2018, minutes. Seconded by Paul Summers. All voting Aye.

Treasurer Report and cash in bank as of April was provided and accepted as presented.

Turn in new projects for budget to Treasurer. Village is flushed hydrants today May 14 and will continue tomorrow May 15; Noble Villagewide Garage Sales May 19 (3rd Saturday);

Village Water Quality Report is available at the Village Hall or direct link that is on Village website.

Noble Village Hall will be closed Monday, Memorial Day May 28. Next board meeting will be on May 29 Tuesday due to Memorial Day;

Lights in the park have been replaced with LED lights.

Mosquito spraying will be done in the Village on Monday and Wednesday nights.

Village received a letter from Village employee Lonnie Smith’s doctor stating he is being released to return to work on May 7 with a restriction of no shoveling dirt.

Village received a note from a resident stating Village employee Bill Manuel is doing a fine job and goes above and beyond (note not signed).

Pro-Tem Ulm informed the board that the new renter at 104 E. North Ave. parked a semi on Village property and was asked to move it. Village Clerk was told by resident property owner (Earl Tannahill) told that they could park the semi in front of the substation. Village Clerk told the renter that would not be acceptable and gave the renter an idea of a place that may be available.

Motion made by Judith Anderson to retain Kapper & Co. for Auditors, Charleston Engineering for Engineer and Barry Bright Attorney at Law for Village Attorney for the new fiscal year. Seconded by Carol O’Dell. Roll Call Vote Taken, All voting Aye.

Bleachers for the Little League have been painted and receipts are in the Village bills for reimbursement.

Trustee Summers inquired if the cemetery streets had been sprayed. Village Clerk will check.

Pro-Tem Ulm informed the board that the tractor had some issues and Village employee Bill Manuel would be working on it.

Spray chemical for weeds and trespassing signs were mentioned for the fence around the lagoon. Items will be put on the next agenda.

Motion made by Judith Anderson to pay bills. Seconded by Paul Summers. All voting Aye.

Motion made by Paul Summers to adjourn the meeting at 7:32 p.m. Seconded by Janet Pflaum. All voting Aye.

Meeting adjourned until May 29, 2018, at 7:00 p.m.
