Graduates earn 474 degrees, certificates from Olney Central College

About 42 percent of the 474 degrees and certificates handed out by the Olney Central College in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Olney conferred 107 associate's degrees and 92 certificates in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies. Data shows the school gave out 120 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies, followed by 91 associate's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse and 50 certificates in Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse Training.

The college enrolled 1,198 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
