Louisville Village Village Council met March 26.

Here is the minutes provided by the Council:

The Village Council met on the above date at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order and present were Richard Clark, Tresa Hundley, Paul Summers, Gary Ulm, Janet Pflaum, Judith Anderson and Carol O’Dell. Absent Carl Klingler.

Opened with silent prayer and followed by reciting Pledge of Allegiance.

Motion made by Janet Pflaum to approve March 12, 2018, minutes. Seconded by Paul Summers. All voting Aye.

Board members were ask to turn in any new projects for the budget to the Treasurer.

The Village Hall will be closed at noon on Good Friday March 30.

Village is asking the public to please remove all ground decorations from the Noble Cemetery by March 30.

Easter Egg hunt will be held in the Noble Park on March 31 at 2:00 p.m. Elks Easter Egg hunt will be held in the Olney City Park on March 31 at 11:00 a.m.

Spring Cleanup for Village of Noble garbage customers is scheduled for May 2.

Village currently has a contract with Republic for trash service. Atkins Sanitation from Sumner, Illinois contacted the Village Hall informing the Clerk that they are interested in bidding on trash service for the Village. No action taken.

Mayor Clark informed the board that the Village has 5 picnic tables at the shop, 3 that were built by Village employee Bill Manuel.

Mayor Clark mentioned that Village employee Lonnie Smith had a heart attack and 2 stints were put in and 1 more stint would be put in on April 18. Lonnie is off on sick leave and a wellness plan has been requested. Mayor Clark mentioned mowing season is close and board needs to start considering how this will be handled such as hiring out the mowing of the Noble Cemetery, park and plant mowing.

Village employee Brad Kessler’s last official day is March 30.
