Analysis: Flora pays $3.58 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Flora Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 78.1 percent of the $330,501 the Flora Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.58 for every $1 from pension members, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Flora contributed $258,122 to the fund, which saw a $4,067 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $71,979, or 21.8 percent, in 2016. Another $400 came from other unspecified sources.
