Martinsville City Council met October 25.
Here is the minutes provided by the Council:
Roll call was answered by the following council members and elected officials: Chris Davidson, Mike Cribelar, Melinda Lovell, Troy Propst, John Skinner and David Doran. Also in attendance were Mayor Herman Davidson and Clerk Marlene Wilhoit with Treasurer Melinda Owen absent. Employees and citizens in attendance are attached to the back of the minutes.
**Motion by M Cribelar 2nd by M Lovell to approve minutes from 10-11-17 council meeting.
Upon roll call vote all council members present voted for the motion. (6)
**Motion by C Davidson, 2nd by T Propst to approve Resolution R2107-10-1 titled; “Resolution in Support of Illinois Bicentennial Celebrations”
Upon roll call vote all council members present voted for the motion. (6)
**Motion by J Skinner 2nd by M Cribelar to partner with the rest of the county in the E citation program through the Clark County Circuit Clerk’s office with the cost being the startup fee only with no yearly fee plus the purchase of a printer, case and ticket paper not to exceed $800 with any applicable funds coming from the city’s DUI fund.
Upon roll call vote all council members present voted for the motion. (6)
Public Comments: Mayor Davidson informed council that the city has received 17 applications for the police department and the deadline is October 31st.
Motion by M Cribelar, 2nd by C Davidson to adjourn the meeting @ 7:15 pm
