The New Hope Board of Education met on August 15, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the work room of the school.
President Jason Simpson called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m.

Mrs. Harrelson presented the Superintendent’s Report; Open House scheduled for Thursday, August 18th 6:00-7:30. Enrollment currently at 164, slightly down from last year. For the solar eclipse, 4th -8th grades will be going outside to watch and glasses are being provided.
Kindergarten -3 rd grade parents are welcome to come to the school and take their child outside to view. State funding is at a stand still. We have not received any state aid payments to date but can make it until June with no funding. New Hope is 54% state funded. Fairfield National Bank recently made a $1,000 donation to the school.
