The calls in Paris included 35 fires - 16 structure fires, six vehicle fires and 12 other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $967,650 in fire loss - or about $27,647 per fire.
The department also received 59 false calls, including two malicious calls and 57 other false calls.
The calls resulted in one civilian fire-related injury.
The Paris Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 14 active employees and 17 retired or inactive employees, was $613,313 in debt as of April 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $17,523 for every fire in 2016.
