Grandmother, grandkids donate handmade pillowcases to children facing surgery

Pillowcases

A grandmother and her grandchildren recently donated hand-sewn, colorful pillowcases to Sarah Bush Lincoln Volunteer Services to bring smiles to children facing surgery.

Anieta Trame and her young grandchildren Ryan, Ellie, Lucy and Gracie made the pillowcases. Each of the pillowcases is made with colorful, cute and playful fabric patterns that children may enjoy.

The pillowcases will be given to children during recovery from surgical procedures. Afterward, the children get to keep the pillowcases and take them home.

Anyone who knows how to sew can learn more about making the pillowcases by contacting Colleen Stoner of Sarah Bush Lincoln Volunteer Services at cstoner@sblhs.org or 217-258-2500.
