Members of the Arcola School District 306 board of education met Monday, Aug. 8.
The Arcola School District 306 board is responsible for overseeing all local school district matters. the board meets on the second Wednesday of each month.

Finance Committee Minutes – August 8, 2016
Present: Tom Mulligan, Superintendent; Board Members: Jim Crane, Chad Strader, Dr. Robert
Arrol, Randy Rothrock, Sue Stout
The meeting was called to order at 5:30 pm. The finance committee first reviewed a budget summary, which included projected ending financial position following the2015-2016 school year and also the overall projected budget for 2016-2017 school year. The committee the reviewed the district budget by line item reviewing last year’s budget, last year’s activity, the projected budget, and also notes on changes from one year to the next. The committee will recommend approval of the tentative budget to the full board on Wednesday, August 10.
The committee then reviewed the expenses that would be applied to the Phillip Ray Trust and decided that board approval on the budget will also include board approval of the trust fund expenditures.
The finance committee meeting adjourned at 6:50 pm.
