Tuscola Community Unified School District 301 details July 25 education board meeting

The Tuscola Community Unified School District 301 board of education met Monday, July 25.

"The Tuscola Board of Education consists of seven board members elected to serve, without compensation, for overlapping terms of four years each. The board elects a president, vice-president and secretary to serve for two-year terms."

• Approved payment of bills in the amount of $693,157.05 ($93,157.05 of this amount is from Capital Projects)

• Approved Treasurer and Bookkeeper Reports

• Approved TEA contract for 2015-2018

• Approved PERA committee recommendations on new evaluations

• Approved district dress code guidelines

• Approved High School Coaches List for 2016-2017

• Accepted Mrs. Kim Shambo’s resignation as special education teacher

• Employed Mrs. Pat Sturgis as substitute during Mrs. Marissa Brewer’s maternity leave

• Approved Bookkeeper and Treasurer salaries for 2016-2017

• Approved Aides, Library Clerks, and Secretarial salaries for 2016-2017

• Approved Custodian salaries for 2016-2017

• Superintendent’s Report: Financial/Summer Projects/Safety Update, School Board Convention, Permission to Hire on Late Notice, Auditor, ADA numbers and Technology Update in August
