Community Unit School District No. 1 education board to elect new officers

The Community Unit School District No. 1 board of education for the City of Charleston will meet 6:30 p.m. tomorrow, April 20, to elect new officers, select a president pro tem and appoint a secretary pro tem and recording secretary.

The board of education will also discuss the superintendent’s report on excellence in education foundation grants and reception; staff recognition and appreciation reception; 2016 CHS Senior Week and commencement exercises and the final exam schedule; the end of the 2015-16 school year schedule; an update on CUSD #1 budget planning; and the workload plan for special educators and upcoming meeting.

The administration building is located at 410 W. Polk Ave.
