The village of Oblong's board discussed the upcoming Spring 5K run during its Feb. 3 meeting.
The board also discussed delinquent water bills and payment of bills in general before hearing comments from Mayor Randy Rich.
Committee reports included updates from the Police, Building and Park, Sidewalks and Lights, Street and Alley, Water and Sewer, Finance/Budget, and Development departments.
Oblong operates under a mayor/trustee form of government. The village board consists of the mayor and six trustees who are elected at-large for overlapping terms of four years.
Current members of the board include Rick Catt, Teresa Fielder, Jay Haines, Dave Hasty, Ken Russell and Debi Wilson, all residents of Oblong.
As the policymaking body of the village, the board approves ordinances and adopts resolutions, meeting the first Wednesday of each month in the Village of Oblong Municipal Building, 202 S. Range St.
