Yesterday, a new development emerged regarding the case of alleged misconduct involving Christopher Mehochko, the former Superintendent of the Grundy-Kendall Regional Office of Education. A criminal Federal Grand Jury subpoena has been confirmed to have been issued to Mehochko, who also served as head of the Professional Development Alliance at that time.

The situation was initially brought to light on October 20, 2024. Subsequently, on May 29, 2024, a subpoena was issued by the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois. The subpoena requested key records related to items previously reported.

Mehochko retired from his position on February 25, 2025, nine months after the issuance of the subpoena and one month following a detailed article on the subject in January 2025. The current status of the investigation remains unclear; however, there is hope for accountability if it continues.

A copy of the subpoena is available for download or viewing online.
