The jury trial for Jerry Willison, a former trustee of the Oakland Fire Protection District, has been postponed to an undetermined date. The trial was originally scheduled for November 4, 2025, but a recent docket entry vacated that date. A status hearing is now set for December 1, 2025, at 9 AM in courtroom 1.

There are currently no pending motions before the court. The reason for holding a status hearing is unclear. Some have speculated that it may be related to a possible plea deal, but this has not been confirmed.

At the most recent hearing on October 30, arguments were heard regarding motions to amend information and to bar witnesses. Both motions were denied by the court, which had previously indicated that the trial setting would be maintained. However, on November 3, the docket reflected that the jury trial date was vacated.

Jerry Willison is the father of Kyley Willison, who was also a trustee of the Oakland Fire Protection District and has since been convicted on related charges.

Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
