BUDGET MEETING
The Jasper County Board met on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at the Jasper County Building, Board Room, 204 West Washington Street, Newton, Illinois. The topic for discussion was the FY2026 Jasper County Budget. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jason Warfel. The following board members were present: Chairman Jason Warfel, Vice Chairman Ron Heltsley, A.C. Pickens, Doug Weddell, James Judson, Michael Geier, and Jessica Schackmann and Austin Francis. Eric Spiker entered the meeting at 5:40 p.m.
PUBLIC COMMENTS: None
ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA. Judson moved to adopt the agenda as distributed. Geier seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote.
BUDGET MEETINGS/REVIEW. The board heard from Ambulance Manager Lori Guerrettaz, Sheriff Brandon Francis, Supervisor of Assessments Tom Matson, County Clerk and Recorder Amy Tarr, and Clerk of the Circuit Court Jamie Blake regarding their respective proposed FY2026 budgets.
ADJOURNMENT. Geier moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:15 pm. Schackmann seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote.
The Next Board Meeting will be on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. Jason Warfel, Jasper County Board Chairman
