Multiple articles have been published to highlight the illegal spending by former Oakland Fire Protection District Trustee Kyley Willison, who has since been convicted. His father, Jerry Willison, also a former trustee of the district, is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on October 27, 2025, at 11:00 in courtroom 1. A jury trial is set for November 4, 2025. According to court records, two motions have recently been filed: a Motion to Bar Witnesses and a Motion to Dismiss Amended Information.
Public records from the Sheriff’s office detail various unauthorized purchases made with taxpayer funds. Among these expenditures was a $750 payment to Turning Point USA.
