The following day, Niemerg commented on violence affecting Charlie Kirk and his family. On September 10 he posted: "My heart breaks for Charlie Kirk and his family.
This act is outrageous and evil. It should never happen in America. Violence is never the answer — it’s a coward’s response.
Now more than ever, we need to pray for Charlie, his family and our nation."
Later that same day, Niemerg added: "I am in shock…..God bless Charlie Kirk. https://t.co/40lf79YKCu".
Niemerg was elected to the Illinois State House in 2023 to represent the state's 102nd House District after replacing previous state representative Darren Bailey.
