Jackie Traynere, a member of the Will County Board, faces three charges of computer tampering, all classified as Class B misdemeanors. The Illinois State’s Attorney Appellate Prosecutor’s Office (ILSAAP) filed the charges.
The first count alleges: “on or about March 6, 2024, …in that said defendant, knowingly and without authorization of Judy H. Ogalla, accessed the email of Judy H. Ogalla, contrary to the Statute, and against the peace and dignity of the same…”
The second count states: “on or about March 6, 2024, …in that said defendant, acted in excess of the authority granted to her, in that she knowingly and without authorization of Judy H. Ogalla, accessed the email of Judy H. Ogalla, contrary to the Statute, and against the peace and dignity of the same…”
The third count claims: “on or about March 6, 2024, …in that said defendant, acted in excess of the authority granted to her, in that she knowingly and without authorization of Judy H. Ogalla, accessed the email of Judy H. Ogalla, and forwarded emails from Judy H. Ogalla’s account to herself and others, contrary to the Statute, and against the peace and dignity of the same…”
All three counts are for alleged unauthorized access to another board member's email account.
