Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond High School, represented on social media as #GoKnights, used its Twitter account to invite the community to an Open House event and provide reminders about upcoming school activities on August 22, 2025.

In a tweet posted at 00:00 UTC on August 22, #GoKnights announced, "Join us for Open House Friday, Aug. 22 . Come anytime 5:30–7:00 p.m. to meet teachers, walk your schedule, grab resources, and get ready for the year. Then stick around for the Red & Gold Scrimmage at 7:00 p.m." Later that day at 13:30 UTC, the account reiterated the invitation with a reminder: "REMINDER.... Join us for Open House Friday, Aug. 22 (5:30–7:00 p.m.) to meet teachers, explore, and connect with community resources. Stay afterward for the Red & Gold Scrimmage at 7:00 p.m." Additionally, an announcement was made at 16:02 UTC stating simply: "Announcements: Friday, August 22, 2025".

Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond High School serves students in grades nine through twelve and had an enrollment of 328 during the 2019-2020 academic year. The school is located in Arthur within Douglas County.[1] According to data from the Illinois Report Card[2], grade nine had the highest proportion of students at 39 percent that year. The school's student body was predominantly white at nearly ninety-five percent.[6]
