Washington Savings Bank has contributed $15,000 to the Sarah Bush Lincoln Effingham Specialty Pavilion, which is currently being built at 905 N. Maple St. When construction finishes next fall, a plaque in the main lobby will recognize the bank for its donation.
David Doedtman, President and CEO of Washington Savings Bank, stated, "The new Effingham Specialty Pavilion will be a tremendous asset to our community for years to come. We’re proud to support Sarah Bush Lincoln in expanding access to quality specialty care right here in Effingham."
The upcoming SBL Effingham Specialty Pavilion will be a two-story building with 39,946 square feet of space and an estimated cost of $28 million. It will offer several specialty medical services such as cardiac nuclear medicine and stress testing, echocardiology, pulmonary function testing, and a cardiac rehabilitation gym. The facility will also provide ENT services including hearing tests and hearing aid fittings, a drive-thru retail pharmacy, laboratory services, and offices for physician specialists.
Kim Uphoff, President and CEO of Sarah Bush Lincoln, said, “We’re incredibly grateful for this generous donation from Washington Savings Bank. The bank has a long history of giving back to the communities they serve, including supporting Sarah Bush Lincoln programs and services. We’re very thankful for their generosity.”
People who donate $5,000 or more to the project will have their names displayed on individual plaques within the new building. Those contributing $1,000 or more will have their names included on a group plaque. For details about making donations, individuals can contact Amy Card at 217-258-2511 or [email protected].
