Village of Noble Village Board met July 14.
Here are the minutes provided by the board:
The Village Council met on the above date at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order and present were Brad Kessler, Cindy Manuel, Tresa Hundley, Paul Summers, Pflaum, Carol O’Dell, Ashley Pipher and Josh Wakefield. Absent Gary Ulm
Opened with silent prayer and followed by reciting Pledge of Allegiance.
Motion made by Carol O’Dell to approve June 23, 2025, minutes. Seconded by Josh Wakefield. All voting Aye.
The Treasurer Report and cash in bank as of the end of June were presented. The Village Treasurer (Cindy) informed the Board that Nicole with Locis was here last week for training, the budget for the new fiscal year hadn’t been entered into the system yet but plans on getting it done tomorrow. After discussion of some negative numbers on the reports, it was decided to table this and have the reports ran again after the new fiscal numbers were entered.
Mosquito spraying is scheduled to be done on Tuesdays in village limits.
The Noble Chowder will be held on Saturday, August 9 and there will be streets closed during this time: N. Noble Ave. (between Elm & Poplar St.), 100 block E. Elm St. & WildCat St.
The bid opening for rip rap at the sewer lagoon will be held on July 30 at 10AM at the Village Hall.
The monthly $2.00 billing fee per water customer will be on next the water bill.
Cindy informed the Board that she discussed CD rates with Mayor Kessler. The Auditors suggested that the interest from the CD for the Lund family Trust be transferred into the General Fund bank account to pay for the yearly expense of flowers. Cindy also mentioned other CD maturity dates and extension times that would be beneficial to upcoming projects.
The Village received Thank You Cards from the RCHS After Prom Committee for the donation and from the Totten family for the angel for Rusty Totten’s family.
The Village Clerk informed the Board that $683.00 was received from the Richland County Circuit Clerk’s office for the fine from the nuisance case of Chapman at 144 W. North Ave.
Motion made by Ashley Pipher to approve transferring the interest from the CD for the Lund Family Trust to the General Fund Bank account. Seconded by Carol O’Dell. All voting Aye.
Motion made by Ashley Pipher to pay all the bills that were presented. Seconded by Josh Wakefield. All voting Aye.
Motion made by Carol O’Dell to adjourn the meeting at 7:34 p.m. Seconded by Ashley Pipher. All voting Aye.
The meeting adjourned until July 28, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at the Noble Village Hall.
