Shelbyville Community Unit School District 4 has introduced a new feature in the Shelbyville Rams app, allowing parents and guardians to communicate directly with teachers and receive classroom announcements. The district announced that families will begin receiving messages and updates from teachers through this platform as the new school year approaches.

The Shelbyville Community Unit School District 4 serves Shelby County and includes Main Street Elementary School, Moulton Elementary School, Shelbyville High School, and Shelbyville Kindergarten Center. More information about the district can be found at https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/.

According to the Illinois State Board of Education, there are 88 teachers in the district, earning an average salary of $53,412 before pension contributions. Of these teachers, 79.1 percent are women and 20.9 percent are men. No teacher in the district has more than ten absences in a school year (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/).
