Village of Arthur Board of Trustees met June 16.

The Eureka City Council convened in regular session on June 16, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Eric Lind called the meeting to order and after a moment of silence led The Pledge of Allegiance and then directed the City Clerk to call the roll. Present were Aldermen Chambliss, Hasty, Littlejohn, Logan, Teegarden, Williams and Wilson. Alderman Klaus was absent. Also in attendance were Lynn Hinnen, Treasurer; Erik Hasselbacher, Director of Public Works; Officer Andrew Noyes; and Melissa Brown, City Services Coordinator.
Moved by Wilson, second by Hasty, to approve the minutes of the June 2, 2025, regular meeting of the City Council. Passed on roll call vote with Aldermen Wilson, Hasty, Chambliss, Littlejohn, Logan, Teegarden, and Williams all voting Aye.
Moved by Teegarden, second by Littlejohn, to approve the Treasurer's Report for May 2025. Passed on roll call vote with Aldermen Teegarden, Littlejohn, Chambliss, Hasty, Logan, Williams and Wilson all voting Aye.
The Mayor asked for public comments on any action to be taken on Agenda items. There were none.
Moved by Chambliss, second by Hasty, to approve and pay the bills as the City's obligation in the amount of $84,442.55. Passed on roll call vote with Aldermen Chambliss, Hasty, Littlejohn, Logan, Teegarden, Williams and Wilson all voting Aye
Committee Reports:
Chairman Chambliss of the Budget Committee: No report.
Chairman Chambliss of the Administration and Personnel Committee: Melissa reported that the auditors were here and finished in one day. Community funding will be used for downtown parking updates. When we lost power, Cary, Jason, and Erik spent many hours getting things back up and running. Thank you for the work being done for the Fourth of July celebration.
Chairman Teegarden of the Enterprise Committee: The bar screen is installed and will be done on June 23. Sidewalks are being installed on the south side of Court Street to Kirby Foods.
Chairman Williams of the Maintenance Committee: Working on picking up tree limbs.
Chairman Klaus of the Public Safety Committee: Officer Noyes reported that at Marketplace in the Courthouse Square they will do a car seat safety check.
Chairman Wilson of the Park and Recreation Committee: Friday the Charters of Freedom area was completed. We have new flags to display for the Fourth of July at the Lake Park. Logan noted that she has been receiving phone calls from people who want to purchase bricks at the Charters of Freedom area. There is a bench in honor of Jim Lehman.
Chairman Teegarden of the Economic Development Committee: No report.
Chairman Mayor Lind of the Liquor Committee: No report.
