City of Arcola City Council met June 16.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

Mayor Garza called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Members present were Alderpersons Foran, Hensley, Helmuth, Henson, Moreno and Budd. City Administrator Wagoner, Treasurer Anderson and Street Superintendent Goodwin were also present.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Alderman Foran led the council and audience in the Pledge of Allegiance.

PUBLIC COMMENT Adam Kremer of MIlano & Grunloh Engineers, LLC gave an update on Libman Street improvements; DCEO Grant for sanitary sewer improvements; RIPI; Downtown Grant; State Legislative Grant ( Arcola Center); Tank Mixers; Bob King Drive & Egyptian Trail.

APPROVAL OF JUNE 02, 2025 COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES Alderwoman Helmuth moved to approve the June 02, 2025 council meeting minutes and was seconded by Alderman Henson. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

APPROVAL OF MAY 31, 2025 THROUGH JUNE 13, 2025 BILLS Alderman Foran moved to approve the May 31, 2025 – June 13, 2025 bills and was seconded by Alderman Hensley. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

CONSIDER AND APPROVE ORDINANCE NO. 25-S-6, ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE Alderman Foran moved to approve Ordinance No. 25-S-6 and was seconded by Alderman Moreno. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

CONSIDER AND APPROVE ORDINANCE NO. 25-C-2, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 23 OF THE ARCOLA MUNICIPAL CODE Alderman Foran moved to approve Ordinance No. 25-C-2 and was seconded by Alderman Henson. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

CONSIDER AND APPROVE ORDINANCE NO. 25-S-7, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUSINESS DISTRICT REDEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT WITH FRED HELMUTH Alderman Henson moved to approve Ordinance No. 25-S-7 and was seconded by Alderman Foran. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

CONSIDER AND APPROVE ORDINANCE NO. 25-S-8, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUSINESS DISTRICT REDEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT WITH BOURBON CREEK CABINETRY Alderman Hensley moved to approve Ordinance No. 25-S-8 and was seconded by Alderman Foran. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Alderman Foran Reported the Park, Street & Alley Committee met prior to this meeting and discussed a request

from rec soccer to remove 4 trees in Moore Park.

Alderman Hensley Had nothing at this time.

Alderwoman Helmuth Had nothing at this time.

Alderman Henson Had nothing at this time.

Alderman Moreno Had nothing at this time.

Alderman Budd Had nothing at this time.

As this concluded the business of the meeting, Alderman Hensley moved to adjourn and was seconded by Alderman Budd. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
