State Representative Blaine Wilhour attended the July "Lunch & Learn" meeting of the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce in Vandalia. During the event, he discussed several significant issues impacting both the region and the state.

Rep. Wilhour highlighted various concerns, including holding leaders accountable and addressing $3.4 billion in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) spending related to illegal immigrants over the past three years. He pointed out that Illinois has more state workers than manufacturing workers.

He also noted a recent victory against an anti-homeschool bill due to public pressure and celebrated the successful defeat of a proposed "delivery tax."

Looking ahead, Rep. Wilhour stressed priorities such as massive deregulation, spending controls, property tax reform, and education freedom and parental choice.
