On June 14, 2025, Wilhour commented on the presence of undocumented immigrants in Illinois. He stated: "They are ILLEGALLY here-@WGNNews fix your headline. No one here illegally should be sucking up taxpayer $—especially when our own citizens are struggling under @GovPritzker oppressive policies." This statement highlights his disapproval of current immigration narratives and emphasizes concerns over taxpayer resources amidst economic challenges faced by citizens.

The following day, on June 15, 2025, Wilhour addressed Governor JB Pritzker's handling of emergency powers during the COVID-19 pandemic. He remarked: "Today, as JB Pritzker preaches about “no kings” and calls for disruption, remember: he tried to be king." The tweet detailed what Wilhour perceives as excessive use of emergency powers by stating that these powers were declared on March 9, 2020, extended 42 times thereafter, resulting in school closures and business impacts alongside imposed mandates.
