The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), along with the cities of Pana and Taylorville, has announced the completion of a new bridge on the Lincoln Prairie Trail. This structure spans Flat Branch, a tributary of the South Fork Sangamon River. The opening of this bridge effectively closes a major gap in the trail, allowing uninterrupted passage for the first time in a decade.
