V. Items for Discussion

Retail Recruitment Overview

Manager Burke discussed the five geographical focus areas for retail recruitment and provided a list of all the venues with which he has communicated in the last 18 months. While some retailers have been in contact, several mentioned that geographical focus areas are too close to other existing locations which makes it hard to justify opening another location so close. Manager Burke will continue to reach out to additional retailers and encourages Trustees to contact him with any retailers they would like him to reach out to.

VI. New Business

Proposed Summer Meeting Schedule

To enable better communication between the Economic Development Manager, Community Engagement & Event Coordinator, and this committee, it is proposed that our summer meetings begin at 6P. Going back to an earlier start time allows everyone a more equitable chance to speak with the group and highlight current happenings.
