Pavement patching starts on Banker St. overpass in Effingham

The Illinois Department of Transportation has started pavement patching on the Banker Street overpass in Effingham. The work is taking place between Fayette Avenue and West Clark Avenue, commencing today, May 27.

During the project, one lane of traffic will remain open in each direction. Arrow boards and barricades are being used to guide drivers through the area. According to the department, the improvements aim to provide a smoother driving surface for motorists. The completion date for this project is set for Friday, May 30.
