Shelbyville Community Unit School District 4 Board of Education met April 24.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Board of Education of Shelbyville Community Unit School District No. 4 met in a 7:00 P.M. Regular Meeting in the Shelbyville High School Cafeteria. Members present: Abbie Ballard, Chad Brachbill, Jake Hankins, Gary Hayden, Vincent Warren, Scott West, and Ellen Trainor.

Public Recognition and Communications

• Mr. Schuricht presented a "Thank You” card from the family of CUSD No. 4 retiree, Mr. Stuart Chase.

• Mr. Schuricht presented a "Thank You" card from the Shallenberger Family.

• The Mathletes Team presented before the Board.

Approval of Minutes from the March 20th, 2025 Open and Closed Meetings and approval of March 2025 Financial Reports: Revenue Summary, Treasurer's (February 2025), Board Bills, Expense Summary, Revolving Funds, Activity, and Fund Summary.

Motion to approve the April 1st, 2025 Canvass Results and declare Gary Hayden, Ellen Trainor and Abbie Ballard as winners of election to serve full 4-year terms and to declare Chad Brachbill as winner of election to serve an unexpired 2-year term. Yea - West, Hankins, Warren, Ballard, Hayden, Brachbill and Trainor. Motion passed.

Oath of office was given to the newly elected members by Scott West.

Motion to approve the third Thursday of each month at the Shelbyville High School cafeteria at 7:00 p.m. for regular Board of Education meetings in the months of April through October and at 6:00 p.m. for regular Board of Education meetings in the months of November through March..
