Village of Noble Village Board met April 14.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Village Council met on the above date at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order and present were Brad Kessler, Cindy Manuel, Tresa Hundley, Paul Summers, Gary Ulm, Janet Pflaum, Carol O’Dell and Ashley Pipher. Absent Carl Klingler.

Opened with silent prayer and followed by reciting Pledge of Allegiance.

Motion made by Carol O’Dell to approve March 24, 2025, minutes. Seconded by Gary Ulm. All voting Aye.

The Treasurer and Cash in Bank Reports as of the end of March were presented. Motion made by Ashley Pipher to approve the Treasurer’s Reports as presented. Seconded by Gary Ulm. All voting Aye.

Projects for the new fiscal year should be turned in.

The Street Committee met with Mike Bridges and reviewed the conditions of the streets to oil and chip. Mike will attend next meeting and present estimate, etc.

An Easter Egg Hunt will be held in the Noble Park on Saturday April 19 at 2pm.

Cleanup in Noble is scheduled for April 30. A list of items that will not be accepted is posted at the Village Hall.

The MayFest (Car Show) is scheduled for May 3 in the Noble Park.

The Noble Village wide garage sales are scheduled for May 17.

The bid opening for the sewer lagoon grant will be held at the Noble Village Hall on April 24 at 10:00 a.m.

Mayor Kessler mentioned the new park bathroom had water leak in the wall (after being winterized by the plumber on the project). The plumber that winterized it said that if it was something that they did he would take care of it.

Motion made by Paul Summers to approve a Resolution for closing E. IL 250 for the parade during the Freedom Festival on June 28 (between N. Noble Ave. and N. Lund St.). Seconded by Carol O’Dell. All voting Aye.

The Village Treasurer discussed advertising for the position of Village Clerk/Secretary. The matter will be discussed with the village attorney. No action taken.

The Village Treasurer mentioned excess equipment in the office and no action taken.

Motion made by Ashley Pipher to pay bills presented. Seconded by Paul Summers. All voting Aye.

Motion made by Carol O’Dell to adjourn the meeting at 7:36 p.m. Seconded by Ashley Pipher. All voting Aye.

The meeting adjourned until April 28, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at the Noble Village Hall.
