Jackie Traynere, an administrator in DuPage Township, submitted her resignation on April 17, 2025. Her resignation will be effective on May 30, 2025, after she utilizes her accrued sick and vacation days.

Traynere explained that her decision to resign was due to the "mental and emotional stress" she has experienced since the township supervisor underwent surgery last September.

The township board convened a special meeting on April 28, 2025. During this meeting, they accepted Traynere's resignation and decided to grant her an additional four weeks of pay. This compensation was not requested by Traynere nor earned by her. Additionally, the board chose not to contest her eligibility for unemployment benefits, which she also did not request.

On March 11, 2025, Traynere was involved in an incident where she allegedly hit a child who was riding a bicycle to school with her vehicle. She reportedly left the scene and drove directly to the police station. The incident was covered in an article published on March 24, 2025.

Despite these events, Traynere remains a member of the Will County Board.
