Blaine Wilhour, a public figure and critic of Illinois' current governance, has taken to social media to voice his concerns over several issues facing the state. His posts challenge the administrations and decisions made by Governor JB Pritzker.

On March 26, 2025, Wilhour criticized Governor Pritzker's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, specifically highlighting the reliance on executive orders throughout the crisis. He remarked: "Wow. Breathtaking lack of self awareness from @GovPritzker who ruled like a king by the same style of executive orders for over 1100 days during Covid-destroying lives and livelihoods. Spare me-your tough guy shtick is unconvincing and hilarious."

The following day, March 27, 2025, Wilhour addressed what he perceives as state mismanagement under Pritzker's leadership. He critiqued the expansion of government, stating: "This is the thought process when you run a broken state like IL where the government is the only sector that is growing. Government was never designed to be a jobs program. The bureaucracy is bloated, inefficient and growing out-of-control. Cut the Fat-Fire @GovPritzker."

On March 28, 2025, Wilhour's commentary shifted focus to taxation in Illinois, questioning the viability of property ownership in such a tax-heavy environment. He wrote: "Confiscatory property taxes from birth to death=theft. With this kind of taxation, do you ever really own anything?? JB Pritzker and the Dems have not and will never do anything about it. Should IL try a different direction-what do we have to lose?"
