State Representative Brad Halbrook has released a statement following his visit to the Neoga CUSD #3 campus, which suffered significant damage from tornadoes on Saturday morning. The affected areas include Neoga Elementary and Junior and Senior High Schools. As a safety measure, the school district will remain closed through next week while damages are assessed.

Halbrook stated, "On Saturday afternoon, I toured Neoga school district’s campus to see the damage and was updated on what response efforts have been taken." He emphasized his ongoing communication with the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA), Governor Pritzker's office, Senator McClure, Senator Rose, and Representative Niemerg to ensure necessary support for the community's rebuilding efforts. "I will continue to work with all offices on the rebuild efforts for Neoga’s school district," he added.

For further inquiries, Rep. Halbrook's office can be contacted at (217) 342-0220 or through RepHalbrook.com.
